Hi! I’m Suzanne.

I’m the founder of Santolina Consulting and Violence Free Faith. I’ve worked and volunteered in the non-profit sector since 2001, specifically with family and sexual abuse support and prevention organizations, higher education institutes, and faith communities.

I am passionate about finding creative solutions for sticky and complex issues and dreaming of what your agency can be and turning that vision into reality. It takes time and lots of discussions, collaboration, and change – AND the outcomes shift paradigms and inspire healthy growth and development.

My education includes a Bachelor of Art in Religion and Classics from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, both in Waco, Texas, USA as well as a Master of Philosophy in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford in Oxford, United Kingdom.

A few little fun facts about me – I have a lynx point cat named Ruthie Blue and I’m an avid native plant naturalist/gardener and even have an Instagram page for my garden.

Our Mission

Is to explore complex needs and issues you and your organization are facing, to collaborate on solutions that meet your needs, and to implement those recommendations with a willingness to adjust strategies, to fail and try again, and to learn from our journey.

We do this by listening to you, your staff, colleagues, and stakeholders. We ask questions, lots of questions. We research with a focus on the experience of those historically marginalized. We try things, see how it goes, and adjust as needed.

Our Vision

To support organizations in discovering new ways of working, doing, and being.

To walk alongside organizations as they implement new and different practices.

To be a catalyst for change that improves culture and the client experience.

Our Values

Integrity
To do excellent work, even when no one is looking, and communicate with compassion and honesty.

Equity
To understand how power dynamics shape systems and the experience of historically oppressed people.

Balance
To center and practice integrated living over a siloed work | life | fun | rest.

Growth
To get curious about change, look for growth in all engagements, and embrace “yes, and.”
